Easy Set Up and Operation

Place your locator on the base of the Duce Dropper. *Note: fits most basic flashers but make sure yours will fit here*
Route cable down the arm by pressing in to channel.
Fill the counterweight jar with lake water to pre-determined fill line (see that process here) and attach to back of arm.
When you catch a fish, step on the pedal and the arm lifts your transducer out of the water for you!
Reel in that fish, push arm back down in to place, and drop your duce again!

Our Story

Our journey started in a basement in 2022, the classic American entrepreneurial way. We built the Duce Dropper because one small snag can ruin a day on the ice: losing fish to your transducer. After all the prep, money, and time spent getting a fish to the hole, it’s maddening to lose it just because the transducer cable gets in the way. Especially bluegill and their hole circling!

Necessity is the mother of invention, so we solved it—once and for all.

The first prototype looked like a medieval wooden catapult, and after countless tweaks, field tests, and hard lessons, we landed on the current design. The Duce Dropper lets you lift the transducer out of the hole with a tap of your foot, so you can fight the fish with both hands. No more calling a friend to yank the transducer out, no more awkward bending and rod-lifting in the classic 'ducer dance', and far less downtime between hook-set and getting back to fishing. Push the lift arm down and you’re right back where you need to be—with more fish‑on time, not gear‑tangle time. That matters especially when a roaming school passes by: imagine landing two or three fish instead of just one because you didn’t have to reset. Goodbye frustrations!
